The U.S. Army Contracting Command – New Jersey (ACC-NJ), on behalf of the Armaments Engineering Analysis and Manufacturing (AEA&M) Directorate of the Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC) Armaments Center at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, is conducting market research to determine the capability of businesses to provide casting and forging services support to various Research & Development (R&D) armaments programs.  DISCLAIMER “THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF POTENTIAL OFFERORS TO MONITOR THE GPE FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMMATION PERTAINING TO THIS REQUIREMENT.” BACKGROUND: The AEA&M Directorate of the CCDC Armaments Center evaluates, utilizes and characterizes a wide range of materials, metallic and nonmetallic, ferrous and non-ferrous, to fabricate hardware for prototype designs and Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) quantities in support of the development of multiple systems for the Army Modernization priorities.  These range from weapons and ammunition to ground combat vehicle components.  Additionally, the AEA&M Directorate provides Production, Sustainment, and Foreign Military Sales support for existing systems. The increase in CCDC Armaments Center R&D initiatives and overseas mission requirements has placed additional demand on existing in-house and contractor casting and forging resources currently used by the AEA&M Directorate. To maintain demanding R&D program schedules and deliveries, qualified vendors must be readily available for manufacturing support.SCOPE:  The contractor shall provide casting and/or forging services to manufacture a variety of components to U.S. Government (USG) supplied technical data.  Components may include weapon system components and/or ammunition components (non-energetic). Materials to be cast or forged may include: aluminum alloys, titanium alloys, stainless steel alloys, carbon steel alloys, acrylic, plastics, and wax polymer materials. The contractor shall have the ability to fabricate the components and perform the necessary post processing to meet USG technical data requirementsThe applicable NAICS codes for this requirement are 331513, 331524, and 331529 with a Small Business Size Standard of 500 employees and 332111 and 332112 with a Small Business Size Standard of 750 Employees. The Product Service Code is R499. Businesses of all sizes are encouraged to respond; however, each respondent must clearly identify their business size in their capabilities statement. SUBMISSION DETAILS: Each potential source is requested to provide capability statement of their respective firms.  If the firm has a history with Government contracts, please provide the contract number(s), dollar value(s) and brief description of work previously or currently being performed, which specifically demonstrates the contractor's ability to successfully satisfy the requirements of the Technical Services. Firms shall also provide point of contact information, where available, for the efforts cited above.  n addition, please provide the firm’s name and address, point of contact with telephone number and email address, CAGE Code and DUNS number, and size of business (e.g. large, small, disadvantaged, veteran owned, woman owned, etc.).
