J--Vevo (Fujifilm) MD Imaging System Services for Research located at the VA San DIego Healthcare System

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 22, is issuing this notice of intent (NOI) to inform industry contractors the Government s intent to execute a Single Source award under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) with the FujiFilm Sonics to provide maintenance service coverage for the Vevo MD Imaging system at the San Diego VA Healthcare System. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 811219, Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. The Small Business Administration size standard for this sector is $20.5 million. This requirement is to provide One-year service contract of the VA Research Vevo MD high-quality, high-resolution ultrasound imaging system (Serial #: 0484XT) is required to maintain operation of the machine. FUJIFILM is the original equipment manufacturer. This service includes complete 12-month coverage for parts, labor, and travel for all Vevo MD products

including transducers, a preventative maintenance visit for the one-year coverage period, initial response time via telephone or email guaranteed within 24 hours, telephone- and email-based technical and application support 5 days a week. The anticipated period of performance for each place of performance location will be for a base year and up to four (4) option years. This procurement is being conducted using commercial item procedures pursuant to FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13, specifically FAR Subpart13.106-1(b)(1)(i) allowing the Contracting Officer (CO) to solicit from one source. This service requirement will be for one single Firm-Fixed-Price award, and award anticipated to be on or before 09/01/2019. The place of performance will be as follows: VA San Diego Healthcare System, 3350 La Jolla Village Dr. San Diego, CA 92161. This notice of intent is neither a formal solicitation nor a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No award will be made on the basis of unsolicited quotations or offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear, compelling and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
