Modernized Radio for Navigation/Communication (NAV/COMMs) Plus-Up

Description: The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a modificationunder an existing sole-source contract N0001921C0064 to L-3 Technologies, Inc. for theprocurement of 233 additional Modernized Radios. The Government anticipates adding the 233Modernized Radios, increasing the quantity on contract from 1,654 to 1,887. Contract award isanticipated for first quarter fiscal year 2022 and the anticipated delivery will begin 13 monthsafter contract award.This synopsis is published for information purposes only. NAVAIR intends to negotiate and award thismodification utilizing other than full and open competition pursuant to the authority 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, “Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Suppliers orServices will Satisfy Agency Requirement”. L-3 Technologies is the designer, developer, andmanufacturer of the Modernized radios, and as such, is the only qualified manufacturerpossessing
