The Dormitory Authority of the State of New York is soliciting "Expressions of Interest" from General Contractors for the following Scope of Work to be performed at Building 45, Fort Awesome & Outback at the State University of New York College at Purchase: ARCHITECTURAL: Remove existing door(s) and hardware(s) per door and access

control schedule. Door frames to remain as existing unless it's required to be replaced as indicated in the schedule. Provide new door(s) and door hardware(s) per door and access control schedule. Provide door finish per specifications. Provide fire stopping around conduit penetration at fire rated wall. Provide new generator pad, new generator and associated systems. Provide sod or turf to match existing surrounding, as the owner directs. ELECTRICAL: Reinstall the previously salvaged 80KW Generator at Outback and provide all connections. Installation of 1 new distribution panel to feed other 3 new panels to be installed in IT rooms. Circuit all door access controls and it loads, which include l5-30s and ac units, to new panels. TELECOMMUNICATIONS: Provide access control and intrusion detection (ac/ids) proximity card reader, passive infrared request-to-exit and balanced magnetic switch (door contact) end devices, associated sub-system controller(s), control modules, access control panel enclosures with stand-by battery kits, surge protected CCTV surveillance cameras, associated enclosed conduit raceway systems and associated wiring and cabling. Provide a 4-jack category 6 level communication outlet at each door to extend surveillance camera and ac/ids device signaling from a respective door location to its serving area telecommunications equipment room. HAZARDOUS MATERIALS: remove positively identified ACM that are likely to be disturbed during the renovation project. Remove positively identified lead-based paint that is likely to be disturbed during the renovation project. All work must be completed between May 2020 - August 2020. Double and triple shifts and weekend work may be necessary to meet this schedule. There will be one Contract awarded for the work of this Project - General Construction Contract estimated at $2,900,000.00 to $ 3,200,000.00. This ad is for expressions of interest only. Bidders for the construction of this project will be selected only after the review and evaluation of the qualification packages received in response to this notice. Firms shall provide one (1) hard copy and one (1) electronic copy (CD or Thumb Drive) of the EOI package, with Tabs in the following sequence:  Tab 1 - Documentation of a minimum of five (5) years experience in similar work and provide a list of five (5) projects of similar size scope and complexity to the referenced project, which have been completed, or substantially completed in the last ten (10) years.  For each project, the following needs to be provided; project designer, firm name and contact information, project title and location/facility, a brief description of the project, total construction cost, and construction start and substantial completion date. Tab 2 - Three (3) samples of project schedules utilized for previous projects. Tab 3 - The table of contents of the firm’s written Safety Program. Tab 4 - The firm’s experience modification rating documentation issued by the Workers Compensation Board (EMR Rating). Tab 5 - Bonding Capacity documentation from Surety Company (single and aggregate). Tab 6 - A completed NYS Vendor Responsibility Questionnaire For-Profit Construction (CCA-2). Electronic copies can be obtained from the Dormitory Authority, State of New York (DASNY) web site  www.dasny.org. Tab 7 - Proposed project team with résumés. Tab 8 – List of Potential Subcontractors to be utilized on this Project.  Demonstration of M/WBE participation must be identified. Tab 9 – Anticipated workload for the period during which this Project will be in Construction. Firms deemed qualified from this solicitation will be included on a short list and invited to submit a bid in the near future.  Firms not following the EOI package requirements as noted shall be considered non-responsive to the advertisement.  The construction contract will be held by DASNY.
