Description Scope of Services BACKGROUND The Community & Library Services Department is seeking proposals from qualified transportation service providers to provide transportation for the day camp and field trip operations for the City of Huntington Beach. Transportation to activities and excursions plays an important piece in enhancing the lives of Huntington Beach’s patrons. The professional transportation services will work with an experienced Parks and Recreation staff to schedule and book transportation for excursions. The Department works in four seasons: Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring and is knowledgeable of the upcoming trips in advance. A tentative schedule is included for the 2024-2025 fiscal year. Contract may be awarded to multiple vendors to meet the needs of many trips and dates. The agreement awarded to the successful vendor(s) under this Request for Proposal shall be a two (2) year period beginning June 1, 2024 and ending on June 1, 2026. The agreement may be extended for an additional two (2) years upon mutual agreement of both parties. Other Details The City of Huntington Beach offers recreational camps and excursions for youth ages 5 to 21. Occasionally we require transportation for families of all ages. For youth programs, there is a seasonal day camp that operates during the summer for ten (10) weeks and other school holiday breaks for one (1) week at a time. During the weeklong camps there is typically two (2) all-day field trips approximately from 9am to 4pm. At this time, all camp trips originate from Murdy Park (7000 Norma Drive, HB 92648). Additionally, there are twelve (12) youth and family excursions planned once a month in the time period ranging from September 2024 to March 2026 originating from a Huntington Beach park and traveling within Southern California from approximately 9am to 4pm.
