It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes, and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this sources sought must be in writing.The purpose of this RFI announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified offerors interested and capable of providing the services described below. Documentation of technical expertise and animal/herd status must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise, experience, and product quality to compete for this acquisition.The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA), 820 Chandler Street, Fort Detrick, MD 21702, is seeking potential qualified offerors to

Qty Per Yr.Purebred Duroc         Male or Female     22-39 kgs                     45Purebred Duroc         Male or Female     40-55 kgs                     45Purebred Duroc         Male or Female      >55 kgs                       10Vendor must be a USDA-licensed breeder and vendor's herd must be USDA-validated brucellosis-free and qualified pseudorabies negative.Vendor must have a certified High Health Status herd or possess documentation that verifies herd is maintainted to High Health standards to be free of the following: Pnuemonic lesions, Brucellosis, Swine Dysentary, Turbinate Atrophy, Pseudorabies, Lice and Mange.Serological/Clinical Diagnosis Negative for the following: Swine Dysentary, Swine Influenza (H1N1 and H3N2), Rotovirus, P.R.R.S. virus, T.G.E. virus, Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, Salmonella, Mange, Lice, Encephalomycarditis virus, and Bordatella bronchiseptica.Shipping of animals to 3698 Chambers Pass, Bldg. 3611, Fort Sam Houston, Texas 78234-6315.Note: Provide explanation of transportation and fuel surcharge policy, if applicable.The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request.
