Purpose The Cape Town Stadium (CTS) is seeking the services of a suitably qualified furniture manufacturer/supplier to supply the CTS with furniture to enhance it conference and banqueting service offering. 2. Background 2.1 The CTS wishes to expanding its services offering to include the provision of conference, banquet, tradeshow and workshops. The spaces within the CTS which are to be utilised for this are the Business Lounge, Level 3 Hall and Level 1 conference areas. 2.2 Historically CTS leased furniture and equipment when required. The
intention is to now have its own stock which can be utilised across the above mentioned areas. 3. Scope of Work 3.1 Bidders are required to quote in accordance with the specifications provided below under section 5. 3.2 The CTS acknowledges that variances may existing between the specifications provided and the product offers by manufacturers/sup pliers. As a result, a variation of up to a maximum of 10% will be allowed on the sizes provided. Bidders are therefore required to offer products which closely resemble the size and functionality of the specifications provided, in order to ensure the maximum utilisation of the furniture within the facility and venues indicated. 3.3 Bidders will be required to supply, deliver and assemble (where necessary) the stock to/at CTS (Address: Fritz Sonnenberg Road, Green Point). The cost of deliver as well as any assembly required on-site must be included in the unit price tendered. 3.4 Bidders will ensure a maximum lead time of 6 weeks (from the receipt of an official purchase order) for the supply, delivery and assembly of the furniture on-site. 3.5 All furniture offers must have a minimum guarantee or warranty period of 3 years. 3.6 The estimated quantities to be purchased are as follows: a) Round conference table = 40 units b) Conference chairs = 200 units c) Conference/training table = 100 units d) Optional: Modesity panel = 10 units The above items and estimated quantities will be used to evaluate the offers in terms of price and preference. It is important to note that these do not represent the exact quantity to be order, as CTS reserves the right to order less/additional units during the contract period, depending on budget and operational requirements. 4. General Requirements 4.1 The contract will be valid from the date of award, until 30 June 2024. 4.2 Proof of the guarantee or warranty applicable to the furniture is to be submitted with the offer, which must include all guarantee/warranty terms and conditions. 4.3 The bidder must submit detailed images (including dimensions, colour and technical information) of the products offered with the quotation submission. Sample fabric swatches (conference chairs) and sample boards (banquet <(>&<)> conference tables), of the exact material and colour to be offered must also be provided on request. Bidders will be contacted, after the closing date, regarding where, when and to whom the samples are to be submitted. 5. Specifications/Terms of Reference 5.1 The list of technical requirements reflects the minimum specifications of the furniture previously in use by the CTS and will th erefore be used as a basis for the type and quality of furniture required. Similar or equivalent furniture will however be considered, in line with section 3.2 above. 5.2 8 seater round conference table a) 1.6m diameter b) Must be able to seat 6 # 8 people c) The dimensions shown in the catalogue and the schedule are a design guide only.
