Optical Internet Service

The Naval Special Warfare Command intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract to Cox Communications Hampton Roads L.L.C., 1341 Crossways Blvd, Chesapeake, VA. 23320-2897 to provide commercial optical internet service. The requirement is for a base year and three (3) option periods.In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)13.106-1 (b)(1)(i)"Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available" Cox Communications is the only company authorized to access the network hub and provide internet service across the installation.THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not notify respondents of the results of the information received.Interested parties may identify their interest to this requirement by submitting a capabilities statement, proposal or quotation.
