REV 6/27/2022 METROPOLITAN COUNCIL Notice of Request for Proposals (RFP) for SWLRT - FRA Waiver Legal Services Contract Number 24P011 The Metropolitan Council is soliciting proposals for legal services from the proposer (Special Counsel) to perform and provide legal services for the Council related to the submission of an extension request of the SWLRT FRA regulation waiver petition to the FRA by October 2024 to meet its approval deadline with the FRA on May 12, 2025. The anticipated schedule for this procurement is as follows: RFP Issue Date March 27, 2024 Pre-Proposal Meeting April 18, 2024, at 9:00 AM CST Questions Due April 23, 2024, at 9:00 AM CST Proposals Due May 15, 2024, at 5:00 PM CST Award June 2024 For the purposes of this contract, there are no Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), or Metropolitan Council Underutilized Business (MCUB) goals set for this project. However, the Council strives to ensure equitable participation of minority, women and underutilized
