The United States Section of the International Boundary and Water Commission (USIBWC) plans to issue a solicitation for the Falcon Power Plant Gates Maintenance and Repairs. The USIBWC requires inspection, maintenance, and repairs on three (3) Draft Tube Gates and one (1) Penstock Gate at Falcon Power Plant located at FM2098, 1 Reservoir Rd., Falcon Heights, Texas 78545.The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform Draft Tube/Penstock Gates Maintenance and Repairs except for those items specified as government furnished property and services.Draft Tube Gates:1. A full hydraulic Structural Steel inspection (HSS) for structural damages and repairs on the three (3) draft tube gates shall be provided.2. A comprehensive cleaning sandblasted and repainting of the three (3) Draft Tube Gates shall be provided for corrosion control.Penstock Gates:1. A
full HSS inspection and comprehensive cleaning sandblasted and repainting rehabilitation on Penstock 1 intake gate system shall be provided.2. The broken guides on all four Penstock gates shall be repaired and rubber seals for all gates should be installed.All work shall be complete within one hundred twenty (120) calendar days after contract award.Information regarding a site visit will be included in the solicitation.The solicitation and performance work statement are expected to be posted on or about July 12, 2019 (this is a target date which may slip or change; if the solicitation is not posted on Federal Business Opportunities by July 12, 2019 that is because the solicitation is not available for posting).
