VA Network Contracting Office 23, Black Hills, is issuing this Sources Sought Synopsis to determine the suitability for a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), or other Small Business set-aside for Veteran Center Moving services for the Brooklyn Park, MN area (see Statement of Work below). This is not a request for quotes or proposals and any such submitted in response to this notice will not be evaluated. Vendors who are interested in this requirement should respond to this notice by providing: a. A short capability statement outlining their ability to provide the service b. employees. 3200-square foot Respond directly via email at: Stephen.holly@va.gov Statement of Work 1. The Brooklyn Park Vet Center is relocating from 7001 78th Avenue North, Suite 300, Brooklyn Park, MN 55445 to a site in the Brooklyn Park/Maple Grove/Osseo Minnesota Area. The current Brooklyn Park Vet Center location is a 3200-square foot office space with six full time employees. Readjustment Service Vet Centers provide Readjustment Counseling Services, Veteran Education, and Referral Services to Veterans who served in theater of conflict and their families. 2. Objective The objective of this contract is to provide full moving services of Brooklyn Park Vet Center Staff and all government property to the designated location determined by VA Iowa City Contracting Office Brooklyn Park Vet Center Lease Procurement. Government property shall include but not limited to file safes, boxes, Office furniture, Music Instruments, Office Furnishings professional books, Dry Erase Boards, Art, Storage Media, filing cabinets, office equipment boxes, consumer electronics, and other equipment. 3. Services Covered The Carrier shall provide the following services under this agreement: a. Labor, equipment and materials to perform various office move related services including packing, moving, transportation/delivery, unpacking and move management. b. Labor and equipment to perform various disassembly and reassembly of furniture including reconfigurations, moves, adds and changes. c. Personal computer disconnects and reconnect services by experienced personnel as requested by Ordering Agency. All sensitive equipment shall be pad-wrapped. d. protect all property from inclement weather during the operational procedures of loading and unloading. All property shall be moved in closed trucks or trailer. e. Storage of property in a secured location as required in the event new facility is not immediately available on date of move. f. Removal of surplus property to an appropriate location as needed. g. Removal of packing materials, boxes, crates rubbish and debris from government premises as directed. h. provide floor protection for floors in the hallways and office areas i. Be responsible for the protection of existing structure and finishes of walls, doors, and floors to prevent damage at both the of old and new sites. j. provide and utilize corrugated cardboard corner protectors at both old and new locations. k. Wheels of dollies shall be free of grease, tar and similar matter. 4. Move Coordination and Planning The Carrier shall provide a move coordinator to direct workers and to ensure that all necessary communications with the Agency are provided throughout the project. a. Along with the RFO, Agencies should provide the Carrier with an inventory of items to be moved. b. Any items of value shall be listed separately by the Agency and the value noted on the inventory list. c. Any items that require special handling shall be noted and the items tagged 5. Contractor Furnished Property and Materials The contractors shall furnish all required packing materials to include, but not limited to, the following Materials: Packing crates Crane and/or rigging equipment Security ties for packing crates Cardboard packing cartons for office area and laboratory area equipment and materials Color-coded packing labels Dollies for cardboard boxes Plastic zip-lock bags to transport a key board tray, mouse and computer cables, approximately (14"x 24f') Cordless, rechargeable drills and other tools Bubble wrap to wrap breakables Shrink wrap Paper wrap Packing tape Moving quilts Crating
