Market research is being conducted to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for qualification and production of the ALR-56C Antenna NSN 5985-01-235-5121, P/N 226757-005 and Antenna NSN 5985-01-254-2862 P/N 226757-006.

ITEM DESCRIPTION:
The antenna (AFT Right) NSN 5985-01-254-2862EW, part number 226757-005 is an assembly which is mounted to the right vertical stabilizer of the F-15 aircraft. It is the right antenna aperture through which the ALR-56C Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) can examine the environment for threats.
The Antenna (AFT Left) NSN 5985-01-235-5121EW, part number 226757-006 is an assembly which is mounted to the left vertical stabilizer of the F-15 aircraft. It is a Radio Frequency (RF) aperture through which the ALR-56C Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) can examine the environment for threats.
IMPEDIMENT TO COMPETITION:
The original
equipment manufacturer for this item is L-3 Communication Corp DBA Rantron Antenna Systems (CAGE 50643), which maintains its configuration by part number. The Government does not own any data, drawings, schematics, or any other releasable technical data in support of this requirement. As a result, Rantron is the only known source with adequate knowledge of the antenna performance requirements and possession of the required technical data and capabilities needed to produce this item and ensure compatibility of the equipment.
INTEREST:
The DLA/AWB Contracting Office intends to award a sole source contract to L-3 Communication Corp DBA Rantron Antenna Systems (CAGE 50643) for the manufacture of Antennas in support of the ALR-56C program. Other interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 26 February 2019 by emailing Mr. Jim Gordon at james.gordon.10@us.af.mil. The Government intends to procure these items using Other Than Full and Open Competition as prescribed by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
