To be invited to bid, an agency, broker or risk pool must complete the following prequalification questionnaire. The expected timeline is as follows:April 18, 2024, - Prequalification Questionnaire available.• Sent directly to local

agents, brokers and the MMA Risk Pool Management• Ad in the online Press Herald/Maine Trust Media• Posted on the Town’s web sitePrequalification questionnaires must be received by the Town of Ogunquit on or before April 29, 2024, at the Ogunquit Town Office, 23 School Street, Ogunquit, ME 03907. Envelopes containing the questionnaire should be clearly marked “Prequalification Questionnaire for Property and Casualty Insurance Services.”No later than April 30, 2024 - Insurance firms are selected, and market allocation of insurer or reinsurer is made. The Town of Ogunquit is currently insured with Glatfelter Public Practice and the incumbent agent, Sevigney Lyons, will be allocated that market for the bid process. Market allocation will be based on random selection. All remaining questionnaires received and properly completed will be placed in a box. The questionnaires will be extracted from the box randomly. The insurer will be assigned to the agency or broker as the forms are extracted based on the order of preference listed below.May 3, 2024 - Firms will be notified of selection and will be provided an Insurance Bid Quote Specification Package.May 31, 2024 - Completed bid forms must be received by the Town of Ogunquit, until noon, on May 24, 2024, at the Ogunquit Town Office, 23 School St., Ogunquit, ME 03907. Envelopes containing the bid should be clearly marked “Bid for Property and Casualty Insurance Services”.June 18, 2024 - Selectmen may review bid information and ask questions of management to be answered to make selection. (Optional step in the process, to be determined by management.)June 18, 2024 - Selectmen to award the bid for fiscal year 2024-2025, beginning on July 1, 2024.Note: The above timeline is subject to change.
