Other Details The City of Vernon is looking for a qualified firm to repair a Sulzer MC HP boiler feed pump. The Vernon Public Utilities (VPU) Malburg Generating Station (MGS) has two 100% HP boiler feed pumps installed to provide feed water of adequate pressure and flow rate to each heat recovery steam generator. Due to a motor issue, the boiler feed pump (model MD 100-300/ 7 stage) has been inspected. Inspection reports are attached as Exhibits C and D. Proposals must include the following: • Pick up of pump currently located at Evans Hydro, Inc. • Cleaning and painting of all necessary parts • Replacement of all out-of-specification internal components • Replacement of all bearing • Refurbishment of oil seals • Refurbishment of mechanical seals • Assemble pump • Delivery of pump to 4963 S. Soto Street, Vernon, CA 90058 • Firm personnel to be onsite, no longer than 1 day, to oversee final alignment, initial startup, and run-in of bearings to a stable temperature.
