Opportunity Summary The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife(ODFW)for the Elkhorn Wildlife Area is currently accepting bids for current year, quality, weed free, Second Crop or Better Alfalfa Hay, in 3x4 bales, weighing up to 2000 pounds per bale for feeding winter Elk in Baker and Union Counties, Oregon. Hay is distributed from 10 feeding sites in Baker County.
OAR 635-300-0001 through 635-300-0015 authorizes the ODFW to maintain the Elkhorn Wildlife Area Program.
The goals and objectives of the Elkhorn Wildlife Area Program are: (1) To mitigate the loss of traditional big game winter range areas along the north, west and south portions of the Powder River Valley through habitat management and supplemental feeding program. (2) To provide supplemental and subsistence feed for wintering elk and deer to alleviate damage to private lands. (3) To provide habitat for big game animals and the other wildlife indigenous to the area. (4) To provide hunting and other wildlife oriented recreation opportunities for the general public.
To meet the requirements of the Elkhorn Wildlife Area Program described above, the Agency needs to procure large amounts of feed.
This Invitation To Bid ("ITB") will result in a Purchase Order.
OFFER SUBMISSION ADDRESS AND CLOSING: ODFW will receive sealed Offers on behalf of the ODFW until 3:00 PM (Pacific time) on the Bid Closing date specified on page one (1) of the ITB, or as amended by Addenda, at the office of ODFW, at: 4034 Fairview Industrial Drive SE, Salem, OR, 97302.
