2019 Aerial Capture of Adult Female Elk in Northeastern Oregon

Opportunity Summary
The Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife (ODFW), Game Program Wildlife Division, is seeking a contractor (hereafter "Contractor" or "Provider") to provide a helicopter, experienced pilot, fuel truck with driver, 2-5 person wildlife capture crew, net gun, and capture equipment to capture approximately 148 adult Cow Elk in the eight (8) Wildlife Management Units (WMU) in Northeastern Oregon.

Elk are a premier big game species in Eastern Oregon. This species has high social, economic, aesthetic and hunting values. ODFW is planning on collaring, sampling and releasing 148 adult cow elk for monitoring their movements and survival. ODFW has authorization to conduct wildlife management activities under ORS. 496.012 with related tag issuance under ORS. 496.146 (4).
