Added:Apr 08, 2019 3:32 pm This solicitation is for a new requirement which supports Combat Air Forces (CAF) fighter squadrons at the 180th Fighter Wing located at Toledo Express Airport, Swanton, Ohio.Up to 85% of Air Force fighter aircrew surveyed reported some type of spine discomfort during their career. Optimizing Human Weapon System (OHWS) program is designed to meet the unique physical needs of the rated fighter aircrew. Conditioning is accomplished through a comprehensive, coordinated, multidisciplinary "pre-habilitative" physical training program with focused strength and conditioning, performance nutrition, and physical therapy. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and quality control necessary, except as specified in Paragraph 3.0 as Government Furnished, to perform at our location or your off-base location to administer injury prevention and mitigation, pre-habilitation services, and human performance optimization services to rated personnel. The Contractor shall furnish consultation and reports, similar to the range of services found in a commercial facility, as well as services specialized to meet the needs of fighter aircrew.The purpose of contracting OHWS program Specialists is to reduce frequency and severity of injuries and time lost from service, improve long term quality of life, optimize human performance/ readiness, and avoid injury prior to occurrence, increase aircrew production, and support fighter aircrew
