This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government. This notice is intended strictly for Market Research. This is a Request for Information only. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Dallas VA Medical Center in Dallas, Texas intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price contract for the purchase of Stents. (See attached for a description of items). The Government is conducting a market survey to help determine the availability and technical capability of qualified service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, veteran-owned small businesses, small businesses, HUBZone small businesses and/or other large businesses capable of serving the needs identified below. This notice of intent is for open market as well as Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) items. If you have these items or similar items on FSS,
please respond with your FSS Number. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification/socioeconomic status (service-disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, women owned small business, HUB Zone, 8(a), small business or large business, relative to NAICS 561990. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced on Federal Business opportunities website http://www.fbo.gov or GSA E-Buy at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. ***Brand-name or equal accepted. *** Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. ITEM INFORMATION ITEM NUMBER DESCRIPTION OF SUPPLIES/SERVICES QUANTITY UNIT UNIT PRICE AMOUNT 0001 1.00 JB __________________ __________________ Install a new combustible gas sensor and a new carbon monoxide sensor by the boiler at B171. Electrical contractor will install the combustible gas sensor close to the ceiling in front of the boiler with a remote display at floor level and the carbon monoxide sensor in the breathing zone in front of the boiler. These two sensors will be wired to an existing controller in the next mechanical room. Contractor to run conduit and pull wire. JCI will program the new points and add them to the alarms that the steam plant operators receive. A graphic will be added to the steam plant showing the values of the sensors. JCI will calibrate the Sensors with test has provided by the VA. GRAND TOTAL __________________ STATEMENT OF WORK Combustible Gas and Carbon Monoxide Monitor Installation Central Texas Veterans Health Care System- Temple 1. GENERAL 1.1 General: A request to furnish and install in the boiler plant at the Temple VA Medical Center, 1901 Veterans Memorial Dr, Temple, TX 76504. Installation of one feed water pressure sensor on the feed water supply line and one condensate water pressure sensor on the condensate water supply line. These two sensors will be wired to an existing controller in the next mechanical room. Vendor will program the new points and add them to the alarms that the steam plant operators receive on Metasys. 1.2 Description of Services/Scope of Work: Contractor will provide all necessary labor, transportation, equipment, personal protective equipment, facilities, supervision, other items and non-personal services required for the installation as described in this Statement of Work. The installation of the new combustible gas sensor and a new carbon monoxide sensor at the Temple VA Medical Center, 1901 Veterans Memorial Dr, Temple, TX 76504, building 171. Does not involve connectivity of a device/system to the VA computer network and does not involve sensitive VA data. 2. TASK SPECIFICATIONS 2.1 Description of Work: Contractor shall provide the materials, technicians, labor, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, transportation, supervision, any other items, and non-personal services deemed necessary to perform the installation of new combustible gas sensor and a new carbon monoxide sensor/monitor by the boiler in building 171 at the Temple VA Medical Center, 1901 Veterans Memorial Dr, Temple, TX 76504. Service Locations: Temple VA Medical Center 1901 Veterans Memorial Dr. Temple, TX 76504 3. General Information: 3.1 Contractor shall meet with the COR/ appointed representative and do a complete walkthrough of the installation. 3.2 Contractor shall obtain all need permits for the installation ie: hot work, confined space etc. 3.3 Contractor shall verify the lockout-tagout of all power sources (i.e. steam, electrical) 3.4 Contractor shall install the combustible gas sensor close to the ceiling in front of the boiler with a remote display monitor at floor level. 3.5 Contractor shall install the carbon monoxide sensor in the breathing zone in front of the boiler. 3.6 Contractor shall run conduit and pull needed wiring. 3.7 Contractor shall wire both new sensors to an existing controller in the next mechanical room. 3.8 Contractor shall program the new points and add them to the alarms that the steam plant operators receive. 3.9 Contractor shall add a graphic to Metasys at the steam plant showing the values of the sensors. 3.10 Contractor shall calibrate the sensors with calibration equipment provided by the VA. 4. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED EQUIPMENT AND SERVICES - The Contractor may use the available utilities (electricity, water) at the site locations that are determined necessary for the performance of services described herein. The Contractor will not have access to the VA information system or have access to government computers to access online information while in the performance of the services described in the Statement of Work.
