R--Certified Athletic Trainers

Added:Aug 14, 2019 8:10 pm NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, Philadelphia Office intends to acquire Certified Athletic Trainer support to serve as practitioners for a comprehensive program of musculoskeletal injury prevention, physical performance enhancement, and acute musculoskeletal injury care and reconditioning for all students assigned to Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, IL (RTC). These tasks will support approximately 40,000 students per year by performing a variety of functions to include oversight and participation in the execution of the RTC physical conditioning program, provision of an active and aggressive injury prevention program, educating RTC staff and instructors in injury prevention, provision of field duties in support of many of the activities and programs of instruction at RTC, and serving as the RTC representative to the Lovell Federal Health Care Center (FHCC) Sports Medicine And Reconditioning Team (SMART).Trainers will also be required to prevent,

assess, and treat acute musculoskeletal injuries in the field, and provide reconditioning for Recruits returning to training from musculoskeletal injuries. Athletic trainers are required to possess NATABOC, CPR, and First Aid certifications, and have a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). All athletic trainers shall also be licensed to practice in the state of Illinois and possess a Secret security clearance. It’s estimated that four full-time equivalent trainers will be required.The proposed procurement is being processed as a total service-disabled, veteran-owned, small business set-aside, and is a new requirement.The NAICS code for this acquisition is 621999 with a size standard of $15M. This procurement is being conducted as a commercial item, using FAR Part 13.5 – Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items (SAP-CI). It is anticipated that the solicitation for this requirement will be posted in August 2019. Interested parties are solely responsible for monitoring of the below mentioned website for postings of the solicitation and any amendments thereto.It is anticipated the Navy will solicit a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) type, contract. The anticipated performance period is 30 September 2019 through 29 September 2020, with two, one-year option periods. Interested vendors will be required to submit a price quote and non-price (technical) quote.The evaluation for contract award will consider the non-price quote of the submission to be more important than price.Additional information for this requirement will be listed in the solicitation upon its release, which is anticipated to be in August 2019, to the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) website (www.neco.navy.mil).
