Leasing Railway Tank Cars in Japan

Added:May 08, 2019 3:15 amDESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT:(1) The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to lease 45-ton railway tank cars (RTC) to the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Energy Japan in accordance with the terms and conditions of a resulting contract and applicable Government of Japan (GOJ) laws and trade practices.(2) 45-ton RTCs which are registered in accordance with Part 3 of "Rules Relative to Application of Rail Cars (Japanese title "Unyousharyoukankei Kiteishuu") issued by the Japan Freight Railway Company (JFRC). Tank cars shall be suitable to transport Jet Propellant-8 (JP-8) fuel.REQUIRED QUANTITIES & UNIT OF ISSUE: A total of 48 each of 45-ton RTCs will be required throughout a year. Payment will be made on a monthly basis. The Government contemplates an award of a Firm-Fixed Price contract resulting from a solicitation.DESTINATION INFORMATION: The Contractor shall deliver the 45-ton

RTCs to the Military Siding Anzen-Tsurumi, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. At the time of delivery, the Contractor shall furnish tank gauge tables for each car to the DLA Energy-Japan, Yokota Air Base, Fussa-shi, Tokyo, Japan for further distribution to the shipping fuel terminal concerned.DURATION OF THE CONTRACT PERIOD: Base Year from 1 Sep 19 or 30 days after date of award for 12 months with a total of nine (9) one-year options.SOLE SOURCE INTENDED: 374th Contracting Squadron at Yokota Air Base intend to award a sole source contract to Japan Oil Transportation Co., Ltd.
