 Fermi Research Alliance LLC a prime contractor for the Department of Energy has a requirement to construct a cryogenics plant building.  We are performing market research to locate sources to construct the cryogenics plant building.The purpose of the cryogenics plant building is to house cryogenic plant equipment to be used to cool the superconducting cryogenic modules for the PIP-II accelerator.An approximate 23,000 SF building will be constructed to house cryogenic equipment including compressors, cold boxes, storage tanks, vaporizers, nitrogen separator, purification equipment/skids, transfer lines, overhead cranes, control systems, and support equipment.  Subcontractor (NAICS 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction) shall provide all labor, materials, bonding, safety, quality, transportation, and supervision to mobilize and construct the PIP-II Cryogenics Plant Building on the Fermilab site.Market research is being performed to learn if small or Native American
owned businesses are  available and capable to perform as prime Subcontractor to construct the Cryogenics Plant building.   Based on the market research the requirement may be set-aside for small business or Native American Businesses.The scope of this acquisition is to construct the cryogenics plant building to house cryogenic plant equipment.This acquisition will be for the building and infrastructure only.  The cryogenic equipment will be obtained from an international donor.  Installation of the cryogenic equipment will be accomplished as a separate procurement. It is requested potential sources fill out the attached form:   Sources Sought Questions.201904.FRA's current schedule looks as follows:ActivityPlanned Completion DateIssue RFP (FBO)4QFY19Evaluate and Negotiate1QFY20DOE Approval of Subcontract Award1QFY20Award Subcontract 2QFY20Kickoff Meeting2QFY20Delivery Complete3QFY21  At this time Fermi Research Alliance LLC will not be able to respond to questions concerning this RFI.
