   REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)Army Contracting Command - Warren (ACC-WRN)Rescue Boats                                                       14 August 2019I. Synopsis:US Army Contracting Command - Warren (ACC-WRN) is seeking to identify sources capable of manufacturing Safety Of Life At Sea (SOLAS) approved Rescue Boats that meet the requirements of 46 CFR 160.156 and equipped as specified in table 46 CFR 199.175.  This Request for Information (RFI) seeks to determine industry capability to provide SOLAS approved Rescue Boats, including all appropriate technical manuals, sustainment and engineering support.  The Government will NOT accept any proprietary or otherwise protected documents.  This RFI is intended to obtain only commercially available information about contractor's products.The Government is under no obligation of any kind to proceed with an acquisition in any way related to or based upon the data set forth in this RFI.  Nothing contained in this RFI should be regarded as
a basis upon which to seek payment, reimbursement or other consideration from the Government.  This RFI is not intended as a solicitation for any proposal.The purpose of this announcement is to conduct market research in accordance with FAR Part 10, and identify potential sources for the requirement detailed below. It is the Government's intent to award a sole source contract Willard Marine Inc., under contract W56HZV-19-Q-0128.II. Potential Product Requirement:·         The SOLAS Rescue Boats will be a minimum of 15' in length and shall not exceed 17'.•·         The outboard motor provided must be a minimum of 40HP.•·         The SOLAS Rescue Boats shall be United States Coast Guard (USCG)/SOLAS approved (meeting the requirements of 46 CFR 160.156 and equipped as specified in table 46 CFR 199.175), including all associated hardware and all outboard engine components. III.
