Outdoor Cantilever Racking for Equipment Storage at 960 Thomas Avenue - WFMA Project Description :Full Title: Outdoor Cantilever Racking for Equipment Storage at 960 Thomas Avenue - WFMA Vehicle Repairs Shop and Yard D2. SCOPE OF WORK D2.1 The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of the outdoor cantilever racking for equipment storage at 960 Thomas Avenue – WFMA vehicle repair shop and yard. D2.2 The essential components of the Work are as follows: (a) The City of Winnipeg to request Geotechnical Engineering investigation and certify the existing sub-grade have suitable materials and no soft spots are encountered. (b) The Contractor shall submit a final design and loading capacity of racking system to include rack supplier’s engineered shop drawing to be approved by the City of Winnipeg. The Geotechnical Engineer’s report to consider in the final designs and specifications. (c) Formwork for the new construction shall be bridged over existing services at 960 Thomas Avenue. (d) The City of Winnipeg to request independent Materials Testing Services to certify and ensure all materials used and base compaction in the construction are in accordance with the City of Winnipeg requirements. (e) Concreting, reinforcing, structural steel and other related works must be in accordance with the approved City of Winnipeg designs and specifications. (f) The Contractor to secure all the necessary and require permits, clearances and coordination prior to the project implementation. (g) The Contractor to ensure project workplace safety and clean.
