Wireless Services Upgrade The Town of Taber (the “Town”) is seeking proposals for qualified firms to Upgrade and expand the Town’s wireless service to increase speed, throughput, building penetration and reliability. The Town is interested in leveraging new wireless technologies that have been developed over the last few years to upgrade our controller and wireless access points to the IEEE 802.11ac wireless standard. The scope of work includes increasing Wi-Fi access from the current 14 wireless access

points (WAPs) to about 20 to 25 WAPs to fully cover all eight (8) buildings, providing access to Town resources for staff via portable and mobile computing devices, as well as providing internet access for Public via portable and mobile computing devices, improving security and access bandwidth with greater range and capacity, and adding Wi-Fi coverage at the Curling Club.
The Town will receive sealed proposals until 2:00:00 p.m. MST on February 21st, 2019 (“RFP Closing”). Vendors submitting a proposal please be aware there is no public opening of proposals. Faxed or electronically submitted proposals will NOT be accepted.
