Bid#RFGA-SSA-FY24-0343 - Santa Clara County CalFresh Employment and Training Program Bidcontact:Please log in to view Bid contact informationIssuing agency:County of Santa Clara, CASee other Bids by this agencyIssuing department:SOCIAL SERVICES AGENCYSee other Bids by this departmentDescription: Many Californians struggle with unemployment, underemployment, and low wages and as a result, experience hunger or are forced to rely on programs in the social public safety net. For low-income Californians, the CalFresh Food (CF) program is an essential support preventing hunger and malnutrition. In addition to receiving food benefits, CF recipients are also eligible to participate in the CalFresh Employment and Training (CFET). CalFresh Employment and Training (CFET) programs are intended to help CF participants secure employment that allows them to leave the safety net. The federal government reimburses fifty percent of the costs of such activities. Interested applicants must be able to
fund one hundred percent with non-federal funding in order to receive the fifty percent federal reimbursement funds. The Santa Clara County (SCC) Department of Employment and Benefit Services (DEBS) is interested in partnerships with third-party organizations, including Community Based Organizations (CBOs), to offer CFET services and support. In the attached documents, you will learn more about the County’s CF program, as well as the various types of components that constitute a CFET program. Eligible partners may elect to work with target populations to offer some or all the applicable program components. Interested applicants will be asked to complete an application that demonstrates your organization’s administrative capability while sharing your CFET program’s vision and components. Details and selection criteria can be found in the attached documents.
