Background / Purpose / Objective: The 437th Maintenance (MXS) Group located at Joint Base Charleston, SC requires mobile, freestanding fall arrest equipment not confined to a designated work area for C-17 aircraft maintenance and repair. The equipment solution will allow up to eight personnel to operate on the aircraft's fuselage and wings.The essential characteristics of the mobile, freestanding fall arrest equipment are:(1) Independent, overhead fall protection anchor points;(2) Portable with self-propelled and push-pull mobility options;(3) Operate at heights necessary for operations over C-17 fuselage and wing operations;(4) Allow multiple anchor points per each piece of equipment;(5) Must meet OSHA standards for personnel Fall Arrest Systems;(6) Equipment must be intrinsically safe; and(7) Must be compliant with the latest American National Standards Institute on Fall Protection Standards Systems ANSI Z359.Capability statement /information sought. The respondents must submit
clear and convincing evidence that their product is equivalent or superior to the characteristics specified in this notice. The response shall include: the area of circumference provided by their equipment, the unit price, list price, shipping and handling costs, delivery days after contract award, delivery terms, prompt payment discount terms, F.O.B. Destination, product or catalog number(s); product description; and any other information or factors that may be considered to determine the method of acquisition. The information must address each of the stated characteristics.The response must also include their DUNS number, organization name, address, the respondents' technical and administrative points of contact, including names, titles, addresses, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail addresses, and size and type of business (e.g., 8(a), HubZone, etc., pursuant to the applicable NAICS code and any other information that may be helpful in developing or finalizing the acquisition requirements.The response must be clear and concise in Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF format using 11-point or 12-point font, 8-1/2" x 11" paper size, with 1" top, bottom, left and right margins, with single or double spacing, and limited to ten pages. All responses to this notice must be submitted electronically to Jonathan Hirsch, Contract Specialist, at jonathan.hirsch@us.af.mil on or before August 23rd, 2019, 11:00AM EST.
