Software and Applications

Plano ISD is accepting proposals for software and applications that may be requested by teachers, campuses or departments on an "As Needed" basis and intended for use by students/staff on campus devices. The District reserves the right to determine if a software product or application is acceptable. If the product is deemed unacceptable, no award will e made to the respondent. Plano ISD urges all vendors that provide these products to respond to this Proposal, even if you are a Sole Source provider of the product. This could include but is not limited to educational, database subscriptions, online certification exams, online curriculum assessment, subscriptions for online delivery (web-based) services or products, online tutorials, online reporting, publishing, simulations, graphics, facility management, etc. The District may elect to issue supplemental bids and approve additional vendors for the same or similar items/services during the agreement period, if it is determined to be in

the best interest of the District. Supplemental bids will have the same RFP number followed by an alpha character and a number i.e. (RFP 2020-034-S1). This proposal is being issued in accordance with Title 2 of the Code of Federal Regulations (2 CFR) Part 200 requirements to procure vendors who provide goods and/or services purchased by Plano ISD using federal dollars. This proposal may be used with local, state, federal and grant funded programs. This RFP will not be a guarantee of purchase for any services or goods, but to establish a list of Approved Vendors with Plano ISD. IF you responded to any of the below, you do not need to respond to this proposal. 2020-034 2020-034-S1 2020-034-S2 2020-034-S3 2020-034-S4 2020-034-S5 Non-Exclusive Contract Any contract resulting from this solicitation is non-exclusive and shall be awarded with the understanding and agreement that it is for the sole convenience of Plano ISD. Plano ISD anticipates awarding this contract to multiple vendors in order to best serve the needs of the District. Plano ISD is requesting all proposals be awarded as Non-Exclusive contracts, by which multiple vendors may be designated as supplier for the product covered under the terms of the contract for the duration of said contract. Plano ISD is free to have multiple contracts for the awarded goods and services and may initiate other procurement solicitations or purchasing activity with other vendors at any time, in Plano ISD's sole discretion. Technology Services and other departments/schools within the District will be given the option to purchase software from a list of qualified vendors as a result of this RFP. ANNUAL EXPENDITURE: The Plano ISD does not guarantee the volume (quantity or dollar value) to be purchased annually. The actual dollar amount to be purchased depends on actual needs of the campuses and departments, and budgetary constraints. This RFP will not be a guarantee of purchase of any goods or services, but will establish you as an Approved Vendor with Plano ISD. TERM: The term of this proposal shall be for one (1) year with four (4) successive one (1) year auto-renewals, based on the long-range needs of the District and mutual consent of both parties not to exceed five (5) years total. Plano ISD has the option to extend this RFP at the end of the performance period for up to 120 days if determined to be in the best interest of the district to ensure availability of products and/or services. Plano ISD has the option to issue subsequent RFPs as needed.
