The Department of Natural Resources, Division of Forestry (DOF), gives notice under AS 38.05.945 that the Final Best Interest Finding prepared under AS 38.05.035(e) has been adopted for the Serpentine Island Area Timber Sales and Site Specific Plan; ADL-420671. DOF proposes to sell up to 6,600 acres of timber over a 25-year period in the Galena, Alaska area and classify the state land for forestry and wildlife habitat use.
Final decision documents are available at http://forestry.alaska.gov/decisiondocs, then follow the link to either Fairbanks or Delta Area. Each timber sale was earlier listed in the 2022 Northern Region Five Year Schedule of Timber Sales (FYSTS).
